The lead partner in the Jubilee Oil field, Tullow, has signed a deal with FMC Technologies to provide subsea services.
FMC Technologies, a global leader in providing oil service equipment for sophisticated systems, will provide subsea service support to Tullow Oil’s operations on the Jubilee field.
In the new five-year deal, FMC will support Tullow’s completion and production operations on the field.
FMC has however not disclosed the value of the contract.
Earlier this week, the company said it had won the contract to build and supply subsea equipment in support of the second phase of BP’s Mad Dog field development in the US Gulf of Mexico.
FMC is to supply subsea trees, manifolds, and jumper equipment for the development near Green Canyon Block 825. The development is about 240 kilometres south of New Orleans and in 1550 metres of water.
In early February, FMC was contracted to manufacture and supply subsea equipment to support water injection at BP’s Thunder Horse field, also in the Gulf of Mexico.
