A private initiative aimed at providing employment for over two thousand youth in the Nzema area in the Western Region is currently underway.
The programme Christened, Nzema Oil and Gas is expected to train the youth within the catchment area as a way of ensuring that they benefit from the oil and gas find with their locality.
It is recalled that chiefs and people within the catchment areas of Ghana’s new found wealth have constantly insisted that the youth and people within the area should not be left out in the exploitation of the country’s new resource.
In response to that, an initiative spearheaded by Zoomlion with partnership from Trinidad and Tobago is expected to equip the youth in the Nzema area with skills that will make them take advantage of the oil and gas industry.
