Ghana’s upstream oil and gas regulator- The Petroleum Commission will engage Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and their donors on Wednesday the 6th of December,2017 at 8:30am at the Alisa Hotel.
This maiden stakeholder engagement forms part of the responsibility of the Petroleum Commission to ensure that risk of conflicts that may undermine petroleum operations, the environment and the socio-economic stability of the nation is minimized.
This engagement will pay particular attention to the socio economic impacts of oil and gas operations on projects affected communities and to share the approach going forward which will allow for periodic input and broad consultation with CSOs and donors.
Expected speakers at the event include Madam Judith Adjobah Blay, Community Relations Manager at the Petroleum Commission, Mr Kwaku Boateng, Director for Special Services at the Commission and the Ag. CEO of the Petroleum Commission, Mr Egbert Faibile .
In attendance will be CSO organizations like Penplusbytes, ACEP,NRGI among a host others.
