SECURITY SUPERINTENDENT – TECHNOLOGY AT ANGLOGOLD ASHANTI

AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Limited is currently on a journey to redevelop the Obuasi Gold Mine into a modern, efficient and long-term profitable operation. The underground mining operation will be fully mechanized, designed to produce up to an average maximum of 5,000 t/day of ore mined. We are seeking experienced and self-motivated persons to fill the following vacancies:

SECURITY SUPERINTENDENT – TECHNOLOGY

Role Purpose

To lead the Systems and Technology Section of the Mine Security Department by providing integrated security solutions for systems and technology on an open single platform that can be effortlessly managed, to provide effective preventative solution to risks (safety, security, voluntary principles on security and human rights) in harmony with AGA values, Global Security framework and the Laws of Ghana.

This is in line with plan to migrate the current Security Technical services contract form a third party to AGAG for more effective solutions and risks management. This role will additionally form a critical part in ensuring that the security plan is successfully executed throughout the Obuasi mine development project, which includes project setup phase, implementation and operational phase.

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

Qualification

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related field

Experience

• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar role
• Proven unblemished career in related field with not less than eight (8) years in senior supervisory role
• Working knowledge of the Laws of Ghana
