INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST-PREQUALIFICATION OF INTERESTED PARTIES FOR THE IMPLEMENT OF A LOCAL ENTERPRISE & SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME AT OBUASI MINE, GHANA

INTRODUCTION

AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Limited (hereinafter referred to as “AGAG”), as part of its commitment to grow local content in its value chain intends to implement an Enterprise Development and Capacity Building Program to support Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). The program is intended to enhance the capacity of local business with the aim of improving capital retention and economic development around the mine’s catchment areas in particular and Ghana in general.

AGAG therefore invites interested parties to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the provision of services to implement the program  in the Obuasi town

SCOPE OF WORK

The  work  to be carried out  shall include all things  necessary for the  interested party to develop and implement  the Enterprise Development and Capacity Building Program aimed at:

• Growing sustainable Ghanaian SME businesses through technical and managerial skills training;
• Improving the capacity and capability of local indigenous companies to be competitive locally; and
• Building a solid foundation for local SMEs to compete at a higher level, after adequate sustainable capacity has been built over time

1. Detailed service provider’s information with Organization structure, List  of manpower with CVs  of key personnel, support  agencies  and other facilities  and resources.
2. Details of experience implementing similar type of programs in the last three years and similar contracts/agreements currently under execution under headings:
   1. Brief scope of work
   2. Value of work in GHS
   3. Contractor Duration
3. Service provider should submit a list of current or previous clients as references
4. Details of Business presence in Ghana
5. Details of Ghanaian participation

Interested parties must submit their Expression of Interest Letter together  with all  required supporting information to ebonna@anglogoldashanti.comby no later  than 1300hrs Ghana Time  on 16^th May 2018. (the “EOI” Submission Deadline”).

Only interested parties that submit EOI with  required information by the EOI Submission Deadline  shall be considered  for prequalification.
