Reports reaching Penplusbytes indicates that there has been an oil spillage into the sea at Ada Ayigboe in the Ada East District in the Greater Accra Region.
According to residents, a container was washed ashore in the early hours of Tuesday but disappeared later in the afternoon.
They however found the sea water changing color, thus suspecting that the container might have spilled some dirty oil.
The residents claim that the polluted water started emitting some offensive odor in the area.
