Job Title: Refinery Inspections & Monitoring Manager

Job Location: Accra, Greater Accra

Job Summary

• Supervise activities of all licensed Refineries, Gas Processing Plants, etc through inspections and desktop reviews to ensure compliance with all the rules, regulations etc. made under the Act

Job Description

• Monitor activities of al licensed Refineries, Gas Processing Plants, etc through inspections and desktop reviews to ensure compliance with all the rules, regulations etc made under the Act
• Inspect the facilities of Refineries, Gas Processing Plants, etc to ensure compliance with laid down rules and regulations
• Review Yet-to-be constructed drawings, plans and specifications of Refineries, Gas Processing Plants, etc and other ancillary facilities to ensure compliance with all the rules, regulations etc made under the Act
• Supervise the Inspection of Refineries, Gas Processing Plants, etc
• Inspect and monitor the facilities of licensed Refineries, Gas Processing Plants, etc to ensure their operations conform to laid down regulations
• Conduct desk top analysis of data compiled from inspections/ monitoring exercises as well as data submitted by PSPs, to monitor the compliance of PSPs with the rules and regulations prescribed for them
• Submit reports on inspection/monitoring exercises conducted with appropriate recommendations on shortcomings for implementation
• Maintain a database of all inspected facilities of Refineries, Gas Processing Plants, etc in Ghana
• Liaise with the Chief Inspector to inspect proposed sites for the construction of Refineries, Gas Processing Plants, etc as a pre-requisite for the grant and issue of construction permits
• Monitor the construction of Refineries, Gas Processing Plants, etc facilities of PSPs (after Construction permits are issued) to ensure compliance with approved designs, etc. as well as agreed milestones

Qualification

• BSc degree in Chemical or Petrochemical Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years working experience in the Operations of Oil Refineries, Gas Processing Plants, etc, 5 years of which should be in a management position in a Refinery, Gas Processing Plant, etc
• Refinery Production Software
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power point)
• Must be ready to travel as and when the job requires
• High level of Integrity
• Must be ready to commence work on June 2016
• Age- Not Exceeding 50 years
