Ghana’s new FPSO to be named after Prez Kufuor

The new floating vessel, FPSO built by MODEC will be named after former President John Agyekum Kufuor.

According to Pulse.com.gh’s sources, the decision to name Ghana’s third FPSO was taken by outgoing President John Dramani Mahama.

The source also revealed that the decision was taken weeks ago but the announcement was delayed due to the 2016 elections.

“The third FPSO for the Offshore Cape Three Point Sankofa development is expected to arrive early 2017,” outgoing Minister for Petroleum, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah told B&FT
