Exxon Mobil, one of the largest Oil and Gas Companies in the World has signed an agreement with Ghana to explore oil in the Deep Water Cape Three Points.
The deal has been described as a significant milestone in the growth of the oil and gas sector.
Speaking to the media, Minister of Energy Boakye Agyarko said government’s stake in the upstream industry has been increased.
The President said government will respect the terms of the agreement and asked Exxon to do same.
He was hopeful that Parliament will approve the deal.
