Ghana National Petroleum Corp. chose Trinidad and Tobago’s Natural Gas Co. as its partner in a project that will transport, process and distribute gas around the West African nation, Reuters said.
The joint venture will supply energy to power plants in Ghana, the news agency said, citing the Caribbean’s island nation’s Energy Minister Carolyn Seepersad-Bachan.
Ghana has an estimated 800 billion cubic feet of associated gas from the Jubilee offshore oilfield, Reuters said. Trinidad and Tobago is the Caribbean’s largest oil and natural gas producer, it said.
