Video: Galamsey in the Northern part of Ghana

This video is about men in Kue, suburb of the Northern Region who are actively involved in illegal mining activities hoping to strike gold. According to the townsfolk the reporter spoke to, the illegal mining in the area started some five years ago when a hunter found gold in the area.
The video was made by Eddie Ameh through a bursary sponsorship under the ” Strengthening Media Oversight of the Extractive  Sectors  Pilot Programme by RWI and Penplusbytes to increase the quality and quantity of extractive stories in the Ghana media.
