BUDGET 2016- Making the Most of Petroleum Revenue

    The Institute for Fiscal Studies in partnership with the Natural Resource Governance Institute (NRGI) will on Thursday 5th November, 2015 hold a forum on Petroleum Revenue at Alisa Hotel. The one day forum will review and highlight the Petroleum revenue allocation and development projects plan for the 2016 Budget.
    The forum dubbed ‘Budget 2016, Making Most out of the Petroleum Revenue’ will be addressed by Mr. Alex Ashiagbor, Chairman, Governing Council for the Institute for Fiscal Studies and Former Governor of the Bank of Ghana. Also, Professor Newman Kwadwo Kusi, Executive Director, Institute for Fiscal Studies will present a paper on the topic: Recent Fiscal Challenges and Risks: What should we expect in 2016?
     Dr. Amin Adam, Executive Director, Africa Centre for Energy Policy, Dr. Eric Osei-Assibey, Snr. Lecturer, Dept. of Economics, University of Ghana,  Dr. Edward Nketia-Amponsah Snr lecturer, Dept of Economics Legon, Major Daniel Ablorh-Quarcoo, former Commissioner of Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Chairman of Public Interest and Accountability Committee and Hon Kan Dapaah are selected experts for the panel discussion on the topic ‘Getting the Most of Petroleum revenues: What should we expect in 2016?
    The forum is expected to be attended by Civil Society Groups, Stakeholders, key players in Ghana’s extractive sector and Fiscal Policy space.
