Benjamin Boakye is currently the Deputy Executive Director at the Africa Centre for Energy Policy (ACEP). Prior to Becoming the Deputy Executive Director, Mr Boakye served as the Programmes Director and subsequently as the Operations Director, managing the Research Unit and the Programmes Unit.
He has made contributions to the extractive sector governance in Africa with much focus on Corporate Social Responsibility and international Business transaction, Contract Analysis, Stakeholder engagement, revenue tracking and Energy Sector reforms.
He works closely with CSOs and governments for effective monitoring of resource governance. He has consulted for the World Bank, UNDP, many Universities and research institutions. Mr Boakye holds MSC. in Energy Studies from the University of Dundee and BA. Hons. In sociology with Information Studies from the University of Ghana.
