KOSMOS moves to d’anchor

  • Oil giant, KOSMOS Energy, has inaugurated their new office complex called D’Anchor in Dzorwulu, Accra-Ghana.

    The opening ceremony was graced with an array of technocrats, stakeholders in the oil and gas industry, and government officials.

    The Chief Executive Officer of KOSMOS Energy, Brian Maxted in his speech expressed that the building reflected the progress the company had made from its inception.

    “The transformation and modernization of this building in many ways reflects the transformation that the company has made over the course of the last nine years in KOSMOS and in Ghana. We gradually established our self through success here from a local company, a regional company and more recently as a global entity among oil and gas companies in the world.”

    D’Anchor with the state of the art facilities, cozy working space, ergonomic Fixtures and fittings is aimed at enhancing working conditions of the employees of KOSMOS.

    He continued saying, “as we move forward with the times, this facility reflects it and hopefully we have created an environment in which our employers can give their very best to KOSMOS and to their home country of Ghana”

    Mr. Maxted reemphasized KOSMOS’ commitment to align with government’s vision to developing the oil and gas industry.

    “To share the joy in inaugurating KOSMOS’ new home, we also embrace the shared vision and commitment to support our host government’s policies which will push this industry forward and hopefully it will make this country a destiny of choice.”

    In an interview with Citi Business News, Mr. Maxted said D’Anchor expresses their commitment to work with government and partners. He added that the edifice would serve a strategic monitoring unit to oversee their investments.

    “This building opens up a new space for commitment and increase performance as we go forward in Ghana”

    “We are investing over $400 million this year, net. We have got substantial monies to invest over the coming years-hundreds of millions of dollars annually. That is why we built this significant office to work with government, work with our partners to make sure that our investment is spent wisely and our investments are best positioned and we are putting a lot of effort into support our joint partners into support the government,” he added.
